Enjoy round-trip travel to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, using the highest cable car in Europe (built in 1979). One change is required along the way. Begin in small (8 passengers) gondolas from Zermatt base station to Trockener Steg which operates continuously. A large (150 passengers) cable car carries travellers from Trockener Steg to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise every 15 minutes. For those wanting to add to their experience, stopovers are permitted at Furi, Schwarzsee or Trockener Steg.
Enter the Glacier Palace through an ice tunnel that is nearly fifteen meters below the surface of the glacier. Glacier Palace features ice statues such as wolves, eagles, mountain goats and much more. The playground slide provides the opportunity to go for a fun ride right through the glacier, a memorable experience, for sure! And adventurers and daredevils can return by walking through a glacier crevasse.
Take advantage of the viewing platform of Swiss, Italian and French Alps, in total 38 peaks and 14 glaciers can be seen!
Access to the highest Minergie-P restaurant, being completely self-sustainable by using solar panels, water recycling and wind power.
