Seychelles – An island paradise worthy of visit

island paradise

Think Seychelles, think beaches, right? Right. But wait, there is more. This is not only an exotic beach destination, but also has some other fantastic offerings. Heard of the giant turtle? Wait, we’ll tell you more. Let’s get you oriented with Seychelles first – this island nation is located more than 900 miles off the coast of East Africa in the Indian Ocean and is made up of 115 islands, many of which are uninhabited. Here is a fun fact – Seychelles is exclusive, and this is where Prince William and Kate Middleton went on their honeymoon! Explore the exclusive beauty of Seychelles with our curated International Tour Packages for a luxurious and unforgettable getaway.

Let’s get started. Here are few reasons why you should definitely put Seychelles on your travel list.

The beaches are fabulous

Being an island nation, it is but natural that Seychelles is surrounded by sea and hence, beach. To say that Seychelles has some of the world’s best beaches would be an understatement – the beaches here are simply out of this world. Even better – the beaches are not crawling with people, so you’d feel as if you have a piece of paradise to yourself. Fine white sand, turquoise waters, and a year-round tropical climate makes this place a dream.

The beaches are fabulous

These are some of the most famous ones – 1. Anse Source D’Argent on La Digue 2. Anse Lazio on Praslin 3. Grand Anse on La Digue 4. Beau Vallon on Mahe (great for sunset) 5. Anse Royale on Mahe

Jungles and mountains

Now, you wouldnt think that a beach destination as exotic as Seychelles would be full of mountains and forests, right? Well, that is the charm of this place – it not only had fabulous beaches, but some cool jungles and mountains. The largest island of Mahe, has some seriously huge granite mountains and boulders covered in palms and other native plants. Hiking is a great option here, with various trails leading to great viewpoints all across the island and through Morne Seychellois National Park. The tallest mountain is Morne Seychellois at just under 3000 feet.

Unique Wildlife

Unique Wildlife

The Seychelles has quite a collection of unique flora and fauna, thanks to many years of being uninhabited by humans. This is the place you will find the Aldabra giant tortoise, one of the largest tortoises in the world. You will see them roaming freely on the islands – so the farther you get from the more populated island, the better chances you have of walking alongside one! Also, Seychelles is home to the Coco de Mer palm, which produces the heaviest seed/nut of any tree in the world! We’ll call it the naughty nut! Go check it out.

Good infrastructure

To begin with, nearly everyone speaks English (your language problem is sorted). Because The Seychelles depends on tourism which is their major industry, the infrastructure is great. You know you can arrive here on a cruise ship. The roads are fantastic, even on the farther away islands and if you are traveling on your own, you can easily get around.

Seychelles

Delicious food

Dreamed of eating Creole cuisine? Then you are in the right place! The food here is simply delicious. Now, what else can you expect from an island nation, right? The sea food always fresh and delicious. So, come prepared for a seafood treat every single day of your stay. As a special treat, you can ask for fruit bat curry as well – exotic but finger-licking good. Here is a tip: Try the octopus curry. (Thank us later!)

Affordable luxury

Wondering where you will stay? Well, we assure you that while you would love to sleep in a hammock on the beach, luxury hotels can easily be found here. And they are quite affordable too. Bonus Tip: If you are looking for the ultimate luxury experience, you can even rent your own private island.
